2. Collection and storage of personal data, and the nature and purpose of its use
a) When you visit our website www.bachmann-knifeart.com, the browser of your terminal device will automatically send information to our website server. This information will be temporarily stored in a log file. The following information will be recorded without any intervention by you, and stored until it is automatically deleted:

IP address of the accessing computer,
Date and time of access,
Name and URL of the accessed data,
Web page from which access was initiated (Referrer-URL),
Description of the type of Web browser used, operating system used and the name of your Access-Provider.

The data listed above is processed by us for the following purposes:

to guarantee smooth access to our website,
to ensure our website is userfriendly,
for the analysis of system security and stability and
other administrative purposes.

The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 (1) 1st sentence point f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is based on the collection of data as described above. Under no circumstances do we use the collected data to draw conclusions about you personally. In addition, we use cookies and analysis services when you visit our website. b) When subscribing to our newsletter If you have issued your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) 1st sentence point a) GDPR, we will use your email address in order to send you our regular newsletter, or to send you a specific white paper. You only need to provide your email address to receive the newsletter. You can cancel your subscription at any time, for example by using the link located at the end of each newsletter. Alternatively, you can of course send your cancellation request by email at any time to info@bachmann-knifeart.com.

c) When using our contact form For questions and queries of any kind, we offer you the option of contacting us using the form made available on this website. This requires you to enter a valid email address, in order that we can know who sent the inquiry, and how we can respond to it. The processing of data for the purposes of making contact with us is performed in accordance with Art. 6 (1) 1st sentence point a) GDPR on the basis of the consent voluntarily provided by you.

3. Transfer of data
Your personal data will not be communicated to any third parties for any purposes other than those described here. We will pass your personal data onto third parties only if:
• In accordance with Art. 6 (1) 1st sentence point a) GDPR, you have given your explicit consent,
• In accordance with Art. 6 (1) 1st sentence point f) GDPR, the transfer is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests and there is nothing to indicate that such interests are overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms which require protection of personal data,
• In accordance with Art. 6 (1) 1st sentence point c) GDPR, the transfer is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation, and
• This is lawful and, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) 1st sentence point b) GDPR, is necessary for the performance of a contract with you.

4. Cookies
We use cookies (or “session cookies”) during your visit to individual pages of this website, in order to make it more user-friendly to visit our website. These cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard disk only for the duration of your visit to website. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not retrieve any of the personal information stored on your hard disk. Cookies contain information pertaining to the specific device, which accessed our website. However, this does not give us direct knowledge of your identity. One reason for us to use cookies is making the use of our website more convenient for you. We use session cookies to recognise that you have already visited certain pages of our website. a) Tracking-Tools The tracking measures listed below and used by us are performed on the basis of GDPR Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f). We seek to ensure the needs-appropriate design and continuous optimisation of our website with the tracking measures we use. At the same time, we use the tracking measures in order to statistically register the use of our website and to analyse it for the purpose of optimising our content for you. These interests are considered justified within the meaning of the aforementioned regulation. The particular data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the various tracking tools.

6. Social Media Plug-ins
Social plug-ins of the Facebook, Twitter and Instagram social networks may be integrated on our website and on the basis of GDPR Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) to make our company better known. The underlying promotional purpose is considered a justified interest within the meaning of the GDPR. Responsibility for operation conforming to data protection standards must be ensured by the respective providers. The integration of these plug-ins by us is done by means of the so-called two-click method to protect visitors to our website in the best possible way.

Facebook

Plug-ins from the Facebook social network may be integrated on our site (provider: Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA), to make their use more personal. Therefore we use the LIKE“ or „SHARE“-Button. This is an offer from Facebook. When you visit our site, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server through the plug-in. Facebook directly transfers the plugin content to your browser which embeds the latter into the website, enabling Facebook to receive information about your having accessed the respective page of our website. For this purpose, the internet address of the visited site (your IP address included) is transferred to a USA-based Facebook server where the data are stored. This occurs even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not logged into Facebook at the time. If you are logged into Facebook, your visit can be assigned to your Facebook account. Twitter

Our website includes plugins from the short-message network Twitter Inc. (1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA; hereinafter referred to as "Twitter"). The Twitter plugins (tweet button) can be recognised by the Twitter logo on our website. An overview of tweet buttons can be found here (https://about.twitter.com/resources/buttons). When you visit a page of our website that contains this type of plugin, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Twitter server. Twitter receives the information that you have visited our website with your IP address. If you click on the Twitter "tweet button" while logged in to your Twitter account, you can link the contents of our pages to your Twitter profile. This allows Twitter to associate your visit to our website with your user account. Please note that we as the provider of the internet pages are not aware of the content of the transmitted data and its use by Twitter. Instagram

On our website so called social plug-ins („plugins”) of the online service Instagram are applied which are operated by Instagram LLC., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA („Instagram“). The plugins can be recognized by the Instagram logo, for example in form of an Instagram camera. If you request a page of our website, which contains such a plugin, your browser will build up a direct connection to the servers of Instagram. The content of the plugin will be directly transmitted from Instagram to your browser and integrated into the page of the website. By integrating the plugin, Instagram obtains the information that your browser has accessed on the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have an Instagram profile or if you are not logged into Instagram. This information (including your IP address) will be directly transferred to and stored on a server operated by Instagram in the USA. If you are logged in with Instagram, it will be able to assign your visit of our website to your Instagram account. If you interact with the plugins, such as pressing the Instagram camera button, the corresponding information will be sent directly to a server of Instagram and be stored there. 7. Rights of the data subject:
• According to Art. 15 GDPR, you may request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you may request information about the pur-poses of the processing, the category of the personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data is or has been disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right of rectification, erasure, to object to or limit the processing of your data, the exist-ence of a right to lodge a complaint, the origin of your data insofar as it was not collect-ed by us, about the existence of an automated decision-making process (including profil-ing) and any significant information regarding the details of this;
• According to Art. 16 GDPR, you may immediately demand the correction of incorrect or complete personal data stored with us;
• According to Art. 17 GDPR, you may also request the deletion of your personal data stored by us, unless processing such data is required for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, for the fulfilment of a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims;
• According to Art. 18 GDPR, you may request the limitation of processing of your personal data if the accuracy of your data is disputed, the processing is unlawful, but if you decline the deletion of such data and we no longer require the data, however you require the data for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims, or if you have objected to the data processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR;
• According to Art. 20 GDPR, you may receive your personal data provided to us in a structured, standard and machine-readable format or require it to be forwarded to another authority;
• According to Article 7 para. 3 GDPR, you have the right to revoke any consent declaration at any time, which you have given to us before. This has the consequence that we are no longer privileged to continue the respective activity and
• According to Article 77 GDPR, you have the right to complain to a superior authority. As a rule, you may find such authority at your place of residence, your workplace or our company domicile.

8. Right of objection
Insofar as your personal data is processed based on legitimate interests as defined under Article 6(1) 1st sentence f) GDPR, you have the right - in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR - to object to your personal data being processed, provided that there are grounds pertaining to your particular circumstances or that the objection is directed towards direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which we will implement without the indication of any special circumstances. 9. Data Security
We use the common SSL (Secure Socket Layer) procedure on our website in connection with the highest encryption level, which is supported by your browser. This is usually a 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. You will recognise whether specific pages on our website are transmitted in encrypted form from the closed image of a lock or the key symbol in the lower status bar of your browser. By the way, we use suitable technical and organisational safety procedures to protect your data against inadvertent or wilful manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against the unauthorised access by third parties. We constantly improve these security measures as the technology advances.

																			Even if turned away from my profession as a metalsmith and began working as a luthier and cutter of tonewood, I never gave up the forging and forged the tools by myself.
